“I want to bring my clients dignity and joy. I want people to feel represented well. For their personality, identity, and story to have been told well. I want people to walk away refreshed and inspired. Because ultimately that is what an art form should do, right? Inspire more beauty..” —Words by Ben. Ben reached out to me in need of a cohesive brand to represent his company.
We determined Ben’s target audience to consist of passionate men and women who are looking for someone to tell their honest story. Ben wants to be known for who is he rather than what he does; therefore, he is seeking clients who are appreciative of his whole personhood - not just his media skills. This translates to Ben seeking clients who are more focused on his overall process rather than the outcome.
BEHIND THE LOGO
Ben’s logo embodies a clean, minimal, and artistic feel. The meaning of the tree rings is twofold: they represent the natural creativity of the outdoors while telling a story of seasons of growth, drought, and overall resilience. Additionally, the hand-lettered type symbolizes warmth and sincerity, Ben’s natural disposition.
Through our brand identity discovery process, I quickly found that Ben values simplistic style and honest content. He would rather let his photography and videography subjects speak for themselves. In the same way, he desires to capture the essence of natural beauty in his authentic imagery, leading us to choose an earthy color palette.
